There’s more to what we are doing than simply teaching massage: Each of our students move through their own personal journeys of healing and growth, recovering from human trafficking, domestic violence, rape, and the generational trauma of “untouchability”.
Via 500 hours of massage therapy instruction – supported by yoga, meditation, and Reiki – each student naturally releases deep-seeded traumas from their bodies, while at the same time regaining a healthy sense of touch.
It is no small feat to consider that someone who has been told from the very day they were born that they were inherently “too dirty” to touch others, enter schools and temples, and had separate water supplies, would one day come to recognize the power and value of their touch, and the equality of their existence.
It is humbling and amazing to watch the process by which victims of violence feel safe and supported enough to let their guards down again to be touched in a healthy way.
This has been the foundational definition of “success” for our organization: To help our students to heal. That alone informs our organizations efforts and directions.
Thank you to everyone who has been interested, involved, and supportive of our work at Himalayan Healers over the years. Together, we are making a valuable, needed, effective difference in people’s lives: THANK YOU for being a part of that.

Namaste Janna, THANK YOU for the kind comments, and for your support of our work in Grand Junction and in Nepal. Sudarshana is incredibly gifted, so glad to hear you have connected with her. Here in Nepal every time a customer receives massage they are also directly supporting our community work and helping people to heal. Grateful for your support, have a beautiful day… Rob

Namaste Mary Ellen,
Thank you for the interest in our work! I live full-time in Nepal, with about 1 month per year in America. We are very much looking to establish sister massage schools, if you were interested. The primary motivation is to create a level of awareness and exchange between students, teachers, and healers, and to naturally allow experiences to develop from there. Aside from that effort, if our sister schools were willing to collect orders for any of products it would be an effective way to generate the support we need to build our healing arts school. As an example, we could send a sample pack of our Himalayan yak bone jewelry for people to see and order from. With enough orders we can then ship the jewelry over and everyone wins: They receive one-of-a-kind and meaningful gifts, and have the knowledge that they are directly supporting our work in Nepal. Look forward to connecting with you Mary Ellen. Health, Happiness, and Peace, Rob
