Newsletter, Spring 2011: “Our Guiding Principles”
Throughout our journey of building Himalayan Healers in Nepal, we have often revisited our Core Mission to ensure that our actions are in tune with our overall purpose and intention. One essential aspect of this has been our redefining of “success” as an organization. For our team and family at Himalayan Healers, we have always defined our mission’s success by this simple pursuit:
The Healing and Growth of our students and staff. Any thing beyond these efforts – while they may be noble or of worth – comes secondary to our primary mission and pursuit of building a platform and environment that allows our students and staff to recover, heal, and grow.
Another essential aspect that has been foundational to our organization since inception has been our Himalayan Healer’s Principles:
Community Enthusiasm Our community’s interests always come first. We are committed to products, services, business practices and an attitude that creates community involvement and enthusiasm. This is the foundation of our combined success.
Trust in Relationships We expect our people to build and maintain a foundation of trust and respect in everything they do.
Integrity We are dedicated to complying fully with the letter and spirit of the laws, regulations, and ethical principles that govern us. We will protect all confidential information we receive from our associations or community.
Responsibility to Society We hold ourselves accountable to the highest standards of conduct relative to our broadest cause-related responsibilities to society as a whole. We will strive to build and maintain long-lasting effective relationship with the communities and associations with which we interact.
Commitment to Excellence We are dedicated to achieve excellence in everything we do. Our future success depends on uncompromising adherence to our vision and the absolutes of excellence.
These principles – and the understanding that our core mission is to help our students and staff to recover, heal, and grow – continues to inform and direct our actions to this very day.
